I believe the word “serendipity” best describes my experience with my Sidmar hydromassage table, for it has been “a fortunate discovery made accidentally”. For years I had been trying to incorporate the healing properties of relaxation through massage into my practice, but to no avail. After three massage therapists had come and gone, I began to recognize some fundamental problems with the process.
1. I didn’t really want to hire another staff member to manage.
2. When I rented space to independent therapists, they often kept variable hours and were not available for my patients when I needed them.
3. Even when they were available, the process of getting undressed, receiving the massage, and getting dressed again was time consuming. Too many patients considered this time a luxury which they couldn’t afford.
4. My county laws did not allow cross-gender massage (talk about antiquated!), so either only one sex could continue to receive the benefits, or I would have to hire one therapist of each gender.

1. Your table requires almost no maintenance (no management, and it doesn’t talk back or have personality conflicts with other staff members).
2. Your table is available 24/7, and never shows up late.
3. Your table provides a “power massage” without undressing, and in just 5 to 10 minutes (such a little time that patients now feel they can’t afford not to do it!).
4. I don’t think Jacuzzi’s come in genders, do they?
Once we tried your Massage Time Pro table for the free trial period, we knew we would never give it back. Suddenly, all those patients who couldn’t “afford” to spend the time before were lining the hall, eagerly awaiting their turn on the “dream machine”. Our main problem now is trying to pacify all those patients who don’t want to get off the table when their turn is over!
We typically put someone on the table for 5 minutes post-adjustment, and have them listen to music designed to relax their nervous system. Our goal is to allow their body some “down-time” to absorb and integrate the new neurological information introduced through the adjustment.
In our practice, we utilize the Insight 7000 Subluxation Station (SEMG, thermal gradient studies, and digital inclinometry) to objectively monitor each patient's progress. Through pre and post hydromassage spinal scans, we have clearly seen the positive impact your table has made. Patients exhibiting both chronic hypertonicity and hypotonicity of spinal support muscles have balanced and normalized with regular table use. Even more importantly, they show an improvement in autonomic function (internal health) faster, and the ability to hold an adjustment longer than those patients who don’t use the table!
Our patients know that hydromassage feels great, as they drift out of our office wearing a grin from ear to ear. We know that the hydromassage is actually helping them become happier and healthier individuals, getting more out of each adjustment we give. What more could we ask for…except, maybe another table?
